June Circle Meeting
June 9, 2026 in the Church Parlor at 12:00 noon
The Daytime UWF circle will meet from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. in the FUMC Church Parlor. Bring a brown bag lunch. The church parlor will give us access to the kitchen for support for any food you are bringing, and we will have coffee and water available. There will be a short program emphasizing Mission u 2026 – an opportunity for an in-depth mission-study through a transformative learning experience. We will make a decision on our 2026 fund-raising event. We will also plan a baby shower for Jody – a lady that Madella has been helping these past few months who is expecting to deliver in July. Madella indicates at this time seems that diapers, wipes, and baby-care products are most needed. Madella and friends have already been working on newborn clothing. All women are welcome, invite a friend, and come have an informative and productive meeting.

UWF Assembly Indianapolis – Wonderful Learning & Worship!
Faye Henson and Madella Shelton attended the 2026 United Women in Faith “Assembly” meeting May 15-17, 2026. Weatherford UWF would like to thank Weatherford FUMC trustees for letting us drive the church van which helped with transportation and the Weatherford crew picked up Joyce Alfred (OKC), Sue Helms (Chandler), and Rev. Kristen Brown and Sara Brown (from Tahlequah meeting the van in Owasso) before continuing on to Indianapolis, IN. Everyone experienced wonderful Community gatherings with song and worship, workshops to inform on a number of topics, and panel discussions with leaders in the mission focus areas for United Women in Faith. Faye Henson helped as a communion server on Sunday, 5/17/26.
Registration is now open for Mission u 2026!
Mission u 2026 focuses on a study of “Encountering Emmanuel.” The event is held July 16-18, 2026 on the Oklahoma City University campus, OKC., OK. Adults and children stay in Methodist Hall on the OCU campus, and youth have housing in Banning Hall. Meals are served in the OCU cafeteria. There are adult study sessions as well as sessions designed for youth and children. If you are looking for a rewarding adventure to have with your family or any guests, consider registering for this experience. News for Upcoming Meetings
here will be no meeting in July as we would like to encourage individuals to attend Mission u on the OCU campus in OKC, OK. Based on action taken at the May meeting, when we come back for the August meeting, we will be moving the meeting time to the 3rd Tuesday of the month – August 18, 2026. We are doing this to avoid a conflict that some of our members have had with the 2nd Tuesday scheduled times. We hope this will allow additional members to attend.
Baby Shower for Jody on June 28th at 2pm
The UWF ladies will host a baby shower for Jody on Sunday, June 28th at 2pm. You can help make this a special time for Jody, so that she knows that both she and her baby are loved.
